Following an audit report and a search to fulfill a four-step recommendation for automating SANDAG’s cash and liquidity management processes, CFO Andre Douzdjian found the solution he – and his peers – were looking for in ICD. The result: accurate data, timely reports, increased productivity and lower costs.
The challenge
“As a governmental agency, when you need something done, you have to shine a light on the issue,” says SANDAG CFO Andre Douzdjian. That’s what Douzdjian did when he called for an internal audit of SANDAG’s financial processes following an unexpected large cash request to meet a contractual obligation. The team had to maneuver between their short- and long-term investments to make up for the short fall of funds. “That was a wake-up call,” said Douzdjian.
